We collect the minimum needed to run the service.
Worthbook is operated by Søren Als, Denmark, who is the data controller for the personal data described here. Contact: hello@worthbook.app.
Your sign-in identity (email, display name via Firebase Authentication) and the data you enter: asset names, values, dates, groups, goals and organization memberships. Data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore). Where data is transferred outside the EU, Google relies on the EU's standard contractual clauses.
We process account and asset data because it is necessary to provide the service you signed up for (contract). Analytics runs only if you accept it in the consent banner (consent), and declining changes nothing about how the app works.
We don't sell your data, run ads, or share your data with third parties beyond the Google Cloud infrastructure that hosts it.
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate usage, such as visits, active users and which features are used. It only runs if you accept it in the consent banner, and it never receives your asset names, values or other financial data.
Your data is only readable by you and by members of organizations you have joined, as enforced by Firestore security rules.
Deleting your account from Settings permanently removes your assets, goals, owned organizations and your sign-in account.
Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal data, and receive a copy in a portable format. Most of this is built in: you can see and edit everything in the app, export it as CSV and delete your account yourself, and data is kept only for as long as your account exists. For anything else, email us. You can also complain to your data protection authority; in Denmark that is Datatilsynet.
